In the Re-qualification NEN 3140 Nominated Person Low Voltage from RelyOn Quercus, you will learn to take responsibility for the safe operation of low-voltage electrical installations in a short period of time. This NEN 3140 IVWV low-voltage refresher course will refresh your knowledge of electrical safety and how you can implement and manage this in your organisation. The re-qualification is geared to the NEN-EN 50110-1 and NEN 3140 standards. These standards have to do with the responsible management of low-voltage installations and electrical equipment and the safe performance of electrical work.

  • Management of low-voltage electrical installations
  • Authorisations and responsibilities

  • Procedures for the safe management of low-voltage installations
  • Implementation of NEN 3140 in the organisation
  • Determining the frequency of instruction and inspection of electrical installations
  • Inspection plan, random checks, inspecting and reporting
  • Writing work instructions
  • Commissioning low-voltage installations
Target group 

The requalification is intended for employees whose low-voltage nominated person certificate is about to expire and who want a refresher course. The Low-Voltage Nominated person requalification is also suitable if you failed the regular course and still want to obtain the certificate.

Pre-requisite

To follow the requalification course, you must have completed the regular low-voltage nominated person course or a similar course.

Course duration

The Nominated person course lasts 3 days, of which 2 days are theory lessons and 1 day is a practical lesson in the low-voltage lab. The exam takes place on a separate day.

Certification

The Re-qualification NEN 3140 Nominated Person Low Voltage can be completed with a theory and practical exam. There are two ways to complete the requalification:

  1. Stipel certificate
  2. Proof of participation

Please note: if you have already been certified by Stipel for NEN 3140 IVWV low voltage, you are exempt from the basic test for this certificate, provided you obtain the certificate no later than two years after the expiry of its period of validity.

Re-certification: exemption with old certificate

 

Is your Stipel certificate IVWV LS about to expire and would you like to renew it? Send a copy of your certificate to the exam office and receive an exemption for the basic exam.

 

Condition for exemption basic examination

Demonstrate that you have a valid certificate or one that has been expired for no more than two years. You must have passed the other exams within that period.

 

Two weeks before the exam

Send a copy of your certificate no later than two weeks before the exam date, so that the exam centre can make the necessary preparations.

 

Copy not sent on time

Then you must also pass the basic test. This tests your electrical knowledge. However, this knowledge is not covered in this requalification course.
